Wedding Checklist – ‘What to do next’ when you’re 100 days from your wedding!

100 day wedding countdown

We’re 100 days away from the Henderson wedding! What perfect time to share some of their engagement photos, and the Save The Dates our team created for them!

Lindsey recently asked me “What’s our next step?”, which made me realize there are some very important things you want to make sure you have completed, or started, off your wedding checklist around this time! Here are my top 10 “to dos” when you’re 100 days away from your wedding!

1. Book your hair and makeup team.

If you haven’t done this already, you’re in crunch time. Do this ASAP. It’s also a great time to schedule your trial! If your bridal shower is coming up, it’s the best excuse to have your hair done up. Need recommendations? Give us a call!

2. Choose your invites.

Modern etiquette is to send out formal invites 6-8 weeks prior to your big day. Invites can take to 2+ weeks to design and print.

3. Find and order the groom and groomsmen’s attire.

Get your boys fitted! This is a great time for the guys to get together and hype up the groom for the big day.

4. Collect/find any accessories for the bride.

Borrowing something from grandma? Looking for some great deals? Start now, save yourself the stress later on! It’s also great to have the accessories for the next dress fittings!

5. Choose bridal party gifts.

Again, this is a good item to get checked off your list. You don’t want to be scrambling to find something for the people who are helping to make this day unforgettable for you!

6. Schedule a final walk through at your venue.

Don’t forget to include your Day of Coordinator! It’s vital that everyone is on the same page.

7. Have your centerpieces finalized with your florist.

If your florist can join you at your venue during your walkthrough, that’s a great idea too! If not, plan this meeting prior to your venue walkthrough.

8. Make sure your officiant is chosen and locked in!

Have you figured out who is going to marry you yet? You should talk with your Rabbi/Pastor/Justice of the Peace/etc to make sure that they’re available on that date. Plan to meet with them at least once before the wedding to discuss what kind of ceremony you envision, what kind of speech they’ll give, whether you’ll be exchanging personal vows, etc. You really want to make sure that you’re going into your wedding confident and excited! If you need an officiant, we have great ones!

9. Find and order wedding favors.

You can find cheap options of cute items from China, but they take 8+ weeks to ship. So, good to do now if you want to do it!

10. Start your seating chart!

I hear from a lot of brides this is one of the most stressful thing for them. So, I always recommend starting your seating chart once you have your invite list ready. As people RSVP you can remove/move them. But, it’s always a bit easier when you don’t have to start from scratch!

Thank your for the question and inspiration for my post today Lindsey! 100 days to go and you’ll be #mrsHenderson!
